Section of Jordan River near Power District set to be transformed

Plans are underway to transform a stretch of the Jordan River into a more vibrant, community-centered space, as the Larry H. Miller Company moves forward with a major restoration effort tied to the emerging Power District on Salt Lake City’s west side. The project aims to make the river a more welcoming and accessible feature of the neighborhood, with improvements focused on environmental restoration, public access, and new gathering spaces. With input from the community and guidance from a globally recognized design firm, the plan reflects a broader vision to reconnect people with the river and shape a more active, engaging future along its banks.
