Glendale Regional Park ribbon-cutting ceremony

Salt Lake City held a grand opening celebration for the first phase of the Glendale Regional Park on Dec. 6, 2025. Even in the cold, dozens of neighbors gathered to celebrate and test out the new park features. The new space includes an all-abilities playground, a full basketball court, walking paths, and newly planted native wetland, and is situated where Raging Waters water park used to be. The space on 1700 South has been vacant for at least a decade, and folks are happy to see it going to better use. Coupled with the new pickleball courts that were finished earlier in the year, residents are excited to have these new amenities on the Westside.
