Affordable housing with built-in daycare opens on North Temple

Over 200 new mixed-income units are now available on the Westside at the SPARK apartments along North Temple. Not only is it large for a project like this, but it also offers something relatively unheard of in the valley — on-site child care. Partnering with Neighborhood house, a community non-profit based on the Westside, SPARK apartments offer preschool at sliding fee scales. City officials and residents gathered in early May 2025 for a gala to celebrate the opening of the complex, with many praising the project and echoing hopes that the city will move more towards equitable and affordable housing options.
